A leader's role is more emotional since a great leader will have the ability to inspire people to follow him or her voluntarily
Leadership Styles
Autocratic
Hold on to as much power and decision making authority as they possibly can.
Paternalistic
Share features with autocratic leadership in that the leader has considerable authority over employee.However view employees as family
Laissez Faire
Gives employees considerable freedom in how they do their work
Democratic
Involves employees in decision making and informs them about issues that affect them
Situational
Rests on the notion that different situations require different styles of leadership. Thus no style of leadership would ever be deemed "the best"
A manager is responsible for planning overseeing the work of a group, monitoring the group's progress, and ensuring that the plan is put into effect. A manager therefore deals with complexity

Coordinating
Controlling
Ethical considerations can influence both leadership and management styles,though in somewhat different ways
Moreover cultural differences can influence leadership and management. As different cultures posses different values and styles of workings than others.
