Dual Immersion Program

Pair real objects with picture cards to help children understand the picture represents a concept
Use real objects to introduce basic vocabulary and concepts
encouraging nonverbal communication, such as pointing, gesturing, and making different facial expressions.
"Language is the vehicle for instruction in immersion classrooms. One would see children using the language --speaking, reading, writing, adding, subtracting, experimenting, and singing in the target language, under the guidance of a teacher ,who has been specially trained to teach the language while using it."
The student population is comprised of 50% native-English speakers and 50% native speakers of the target language (the foreign language).
At least 50% of the school day is spent in the target language.
The scope of the program is K-12th grade
