Aim:

to improve pupils’ speaking skills on the topic “Shopping”, using the grammar constructions “was, were/ much, many”.

Objectives:

1) to practise pupils’ speaking skills on the topic “Shopping”;

2) to improve pupils’ grammar skills on the topic “Past Simple, was/were”.

Developing: to develop pupils’ memory, attention and imagination.

Upbringing: to teach pupils to listen to each other, to work in group and in pairs.

4.	Revise of lexical material (lexical-spelling game)	I will divide you into two groups. Every group has the names of the supermarket departments: vegetables, fruit, meat, milk products and clothes. You have only the pictures of all these things. You should put these pictures into the supermarket departments and then write and say in English these products. Who will be the first and will make fewer mistakes – wins. Is it clear? OK, let’s start. Products: milk, meat, lemons, bananas, salami, chicken, tomatoes, ice-cream, carrots, potatoes, apples, cheese, dress, skirt, shirt -Nice of you! It was very good! Thank you! 5.	Work with the grammar material	Now you will work in pairs. You should make a dialogue using was/were and much/many and of course our lexis concerning the theme “Shopping”. Let’s revise our grammar. Very good! I give you the example of one dialogue. You should make the similar. Did you understand? Good. Let’s start. I give you 5 minutes. Then we will check it. Make a similar dialogue. - Where were you yesterday? - I was at a supermarket. And where were you? - I was at a supermarket too. - Were there many departments? - Yes, they were: vegetables, fruit, meat, milk and clothes. - Was there fish department? - No, there wasn’t. 6.	Homework	-Thank you! Open your dairies and write down your home task. It is p. 67 in Workbook. You should make a short story.
