In countries like the United Kingdom, and some other countries people celebrate Christmas with Christmas crackers. This is also known as bon-bons and is a common practice in Ireland also during Christmas. The Christmas cracker is made of a tube made of cardboard and is wrapped in a paper that is decorated and twisted around the tube. The end product of the Christmas cracker after being wrapped looks very much like a sweet wrapper that is oversized. People pull the cracker from both sides, and that results in the splitting of the cracker unevenly.
