Disconnect the modem and reinsert the backup battery, if it has one, and then reconnect the modem.
Connect the modem to the yellow Internet port on the router using an Ethernet cable.
If your Internet connection does not require a modem, connect the main Ethernet cable to the yellow port on the router.
