MacArthur Museum
The MacArthur Museum takes a glimpse behind scenes of WWII. Take a tour to learn about Brisbane's contribution from 1939 to 1945. The Museum also concentrates on the growing partnership between Australia and the United States, which was forged during WWII through the collaboration of both nations' military services. In 1941, Brisbane had a population of over 350,000 people. Queensland, on the other hand, had become a core constituency for the military effort in the South West Pacific for the succeeding years. During the Pacific War, up to one million US military soldiers traveled through the town.
