The principle of ‘equal pay for equal work’ was introduced in Australia in 1969, and the law prohibiting discrimination on gender was first passed in 1984. However, no matter what laws were passed and how many principles still exist, women get less pay for the equal work they do in Australia. The ‘equal pay for women’ matter should be vocal and the right steps to be taken so that every woman fights for their rights and get the same respect and pay at their workplace.
